Norwegian Joy To Feature 1st-Ever Go-Kart Track At Sea

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that Norwegian Joy, its first purpose-built ship for the Chinese market, will feature a two-level, Ferrari-branded go-kart track – the first-ever racetrack on a cruise ship.

The racetrack will be located on the top deck of the ship, where up to 10 drivers at a time will be able to race each other in electric go-karts.

Guests of Norwegian Joy’s The Haven and Concierge class will enjoy a number of complimentary rides as part of the benefits of their suites and staterooms.

The initiative stems from a new partnership between NCL and Scuderia Ferrari Watches. Ferrari-branded watches will be featured in a retail store adjacent to the racetrack.

The 3,850-passenger Norwegian Joy will officially be delivered on 27APR in Bremerhaven, Germany. After transiting to China, the ship will embark on a grand inaugural port tour leading up to a christening ceremony on 27JUN, led by her Godfather, ‘King of Chinese Pop’ Wang Leehom.
