U by Uniworld has removed the age limit on its cruises.

The cruise line aimed at millennials officially launches next month. Originally, only travellers aged between 21 and 45 were allowed to book, but U by Uniworld cruises are now open to adults of all ages.

“You’ve spoken and we’ve listened,” said Michelle Palma, VP, Field Sales, North America.

“Due to overwhelming demand from you, our valued trade partners and feedback from the consumer market, we are eliminating the 21-45 age restriction and expanding the U by Uniworld offering to include adult travellers of all ages. We have learned that the experience is less about a number and more about attracting a new generation of adult travelers seeking a fun, immersive experience along the world’s most popular rivers.”

Palma says the onboard experience and interactive onshore programming won’t change. “U by Uniworld will remain the same with sexy, stylish ships and itineraries that focus on longer stays in destination, allowing guests to connect with local people, experiences and each city’s vibrant nightlife. This in no way changes the sexy, stylish experience your clients can expect.”

Palma says edits reflecting the change have been applied to U by Uniworld trade and consumer websites and social media channels. The line is also creating updated FAQs for front-line agents.
