Luxury cruise seller The Cruise Professionals has named industry veteran Jason Sarracini to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer.

Sarracini will oversee day-to-day operations and provide strategic leadership on business development, marketing initiatives, supplier partnerships and the introduction of new digital platforms.

“Jason is a true innovator and top-level executive in the space where travel meets digital,” says Cruise Professionals Founder & CEO Mary Jean Tully. “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome him to the company.”

Established in 1987, The Cruise Professionals has been recognized as one of the world’s leading luxury travel agencies. In addition to ocean and river cruising, the agency also offers a range of African safari adventures and customized travel arrangements.

In 2004, Sarracini founded TargetVacations.ca, a travel agency that brought online travel retail into the world of daily deals, which led to the company’s acquisition by Torstar Corporation. He then went on to become Torstar Digital’s General Manager, Travel & Partnerships. His most recent role was as V.P. & General Manager for Travelzoo Canada.

“Mary Jean and her team are the most talented and passionate sales force in the industry. I’m truly thrilled to join the agency,” says Sarracini. “This is an incredible opportunity to grow an already remarkable brand on a global scale. There are some exciting announcements on the way, so stay tuned.”
