Princess Launches $450 Million Reno & Enhancement Project

Princess Cruises has announced a $450 million multi-year product innovation and ship renovation campaign that aims to enhance the line’s onboard guest experience. The line is calling the initiative ‘The Come Back New Promise.’

“The Come Back New Promise’differentiates our approach to cruising and offers our guests enriching vacation experiences by connecting them with each other, nature and different cultures in a new way,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises President. “Our promise is to provide guests transformative moments designed to inspire them to discover the world and themselves, ultimately allowing us to declare that a cruise isn’t good enough unless you ‘come back new.’”

 Recently, Princess introduced new initiatives as part of the program, including the ‘Princess luxury bed,’ new restaurants in collaboration with celebrity chef Curtis Stone, and another new dining option called The Salty Dog Gastropub.

Other recent enhancements include the ‘Discovery At Sea’ program in conjunction with Discovery Communications, instant messaging capability between guests with the Princess@Sea mobile app, new original musical productions and monthly festivals celebrating global cultures.

The line says more announcements about ship renovations, entertainment and accommodations, in association with The Come Back New Promise campaign, will be announced over the coming months.
