Monaco’s Princess Charlene To Christen Seven Seas Explorer
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has named Princess Charlene of Monaco as godmother of Seven Seas Explorer, the vessel the line has dubbed “the most luxurious ship ever built.”
Seven Seas Explorer will be christened in Monte Carlo on the evening of 13JUL. Sharing the stage with Princess Charlene at the christening ceremony will be Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who will offer a 40 min. performance.
Born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa, Princess Charlene married Prince Albert II of Monaco in July 2011. In 2012, she launched the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, with a mission to teach children and adults basic water safety techniques to help save lives.
Carrying 750 guests, Seven Seas Explorer will offer one of the highest space ratios in the cruise business, as well as extravagantly designed lounges, showplaces and gourmet restaurants.
The all-suite ship is also home to the Regent Suite, a 3,875 sq. ft. luxury suite with an in-suite spa retreat offering complimentary spa treatments.
Seven Seas Explorer’s maiden voyage is scheduled for 20JUL in Europe before it heads to Miami for a series of Caribbean voyages.
