Inauguration’s Over But In-Flight Trump Fight Continues
The election is over. The inauguration is over. But the anger hasn’t ended.
After being told by a seatmate that he was travelling to celebrate President Donald J. Trump’s inauguration, a woman on an Alaska Airlines flight decided to argue with him. It probably wasn’t a great idea in the polarized U.S. political climate.
According to CBSNews.com, Scott Koteskey boarded an Alaska Airlines flight from Baltimore to Seattle when the woman and her husband sat down in the row next to him.
After finding out that he was a Trump supporter, the unidentified woman began arguing with him, as seen in this video.
“You pretend you have the moral high ground, but you put that man’s finger on the nuclear button,” the woman said. “That man doesn’t believe in climate change. Do you believe in gravity? Did you know gravity is just a theory?”
Eventually, flight attendants on the plane asked the woman to leave, but she refused and said that she was flying with her husband back to his home following the death of his mother.
AS officials were forced to call the police, who boarded the plane and rfemoved the woman and her husband from the flight. The couple was not charged with any crimes, and AS issued them a full refund for their missed flight.
A spokesperson for the airline said the couple would be allowed to book Alaska Airlines flights in the future.
