Alaska Airlines Offers Early Boarding For Ugly Sweater Wearers

Be prepared for a lot of ugly holiday sweaters if you or your clients will be flying Alaska Airlines on 15DEC.
The airline will celebrate what it's calling “National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day” by offering early boarding to customers wearing “festive holiday sweaters.” The one-day promotion will be offered across its 115-city network, including flights operated by Virgin America and Horizon Air.
That’s right. For one day you won’t have to be a premium pax, carry a special credit card or be an active member of the military to jump on board early and grab that carry-on bin.
"Travel during the holidays can be stressful for guests, especially those who do not travel often,” says Alaska spokesperson Natalie Bowman.
“This fun promotion not only allows guests to board early on that day, but gives people another opportunity to dust off that ugly holiday sweater hanging in the back of their closet.”
AS isn’t the only big carrier getting in on the ugly sweater craze. In November, Dutch airline KLM unveiled its own Christmas sweaters. Whether they are ugly or not is subjective (we love them), but they were clearly popular, as the carrier is now out of stock in all sizes.
