The picture of a very large dog
being wheeled toward an LAX boarding desk has gone viral.
According to Twitter user@madeleinedoux, the plus-sized pooch flew first class on an AA flight
recently. She took a picture of the dog being wheeled up to the gate, and her
tweets about the sight were priceless:
Her 1st: holy sh%& I just saw the literal fattest dog
I sh%& you not, the dog is flying first class on my flight
The massive dog was
wheeled onto an AA flight and treated like the first class passenger he was.
His owner, Kari Whitman, an interior designer who founded Ace of
Hearts Dog Rescue in Beverly Hills bought 2 first class tickets for the flight
– one for herself and one for her dog. Due to an illness, Hank, who is
Whitman's support animal, has gained weight and can only move with the aid of
his luxurious, pillow-topped cart.
The dog spent most of the flight
lying on the ground near its seat, and didn't bark or make noise for the
duration of the trip.
"Everyone, both while boarding
the plane and on the plane before takeoff, was speculating as to how the dog
got so fat," @madeleinedoux said. "You could legitimately hear hushed
whispers of 'He's riding first class.'"
seemed indifferent to all the attention as several AA staff gathered around to
admire him and take photos. @madeleinedoux’s
pic has been re-tweeted more than 4,000 times.
