Riu Hotels & Resorts has opened Riu Reggae, its 3rd property in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The opening of the $60 million property comes as the Spanish hotel chain celebrates 15 years in the destination. Riu made its Jamaican debut in 2001 with the opening of the Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril.

The 5-star all-inclusive Riu Reggae is the 6th Riu in Jamaica and its 2nd adults-only property there. It features 454 rooms including doubles, expanded rooms with two bedrooms and two baths, and suites with lounge areas and hydromassage bathtubs.

All the rooms come complete with air conditioning, minibars and liquor dispensers, 42" flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. As an adults-only Riu property, other standard amenities include bathrobes, concierge service, a special wine list and a champagne welcome at check-in.

Riu Reggae features five dining choices. In addition to the main restaurant, Ackee, which offers a grand buffet of international cuisine, the hotel has Asian cuisine at Bamboo, the Italian Dolce Vita, Kulinarium, which serves contemporary Caribbean cuisine, and the Steakhouse. There are 4 bars, including two swim-up bars.

Riu Reggae offers three infinity pools and a Renova Spa which features a steam bath and Jacuzzi as well as diverse beauty and wellness treatments. At night, the RIUentertainment program offers up live music and shows. Those who wish to party into the wee hours can simply walk over to the Riu Montego Bay next door, home to the Pacha disco.
