Air Canada is boosting its 2017-18 schedule with six new seasonal routes, including five on Air Canada Rouge – YVR-MCO, YYZ-BZE, YYZ-SVD, YUL-LIM and YUL-PHZ – and one on Air Canada --YVR-MEL.
So far in 2017 Air Canada has launched a new international service between YUL-PVG, and there’s lots more to come, with YVR-TPE, YVR-NKM, YVR-FRA, YVR-LGW, YYZ-BOM, YYZ-BER, YYZ-RKV, YUL-RKV, YUL-TLV, YUL-ALG and YUL-MRS inaugural services to begin in the coming weeks.
“Air Canada is continuing its strategic, global expansion with a diverse range of exciting new non-stop routes this winter to Australia, South America, the Caribbean and the United States,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines.
“YVR-MEL is our third route to Australia, in addition to year-round service to SYD and BNE. Our seasonal MEL service will provide additional options for business travellers between North America and Australia as well as Australians seeking a Canadian winter vacation experience.”
YUL-LIM is AC’s first South American route from its Montreal hub, and will offer travellers from Quebec and Atlantic Canada convenient access to Peru, complementing existing year-round flights from Toronto, says Smith.
The addition of the first long-haul, international scheduled service to St. Vincent in the Caribbean, along with the addition of YYZ-BZE, YUL-PHZ and YYZ-MCO “offers new choices for travellers looking to escape Canadian winters,” he adds.
AC says all new routes are timed to optimize connectivity at its Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver hubs to and from the airline’s network across North America and globally.
The YVR-MEL service is four times weekly and runs 1DEC, 2017 – 4FEB, 2018. The YVR-MCO flights run 20DEC – 8APR, twice weekly. YYZ-BZE starts 15DEC5 and goes through 13APR3, with weekly flights. YYZ-SVD is also weekly, from 14DEC – 12APR. YUL-LIM starts 16DEC and goes until 27MAY, twice weekly. YUL-PHZ will operate 22FEB – 28MAY, three times weekly.
