Avalon Adds Amenities On Suite Ships

Avalon Waterways has added new amenities to its 12 Panorama-class ships in Europe for 2018.

The line’s Suite ships – which feature Panorama Suites with window walls that open up over two metres to create “open air balconies” – now offer the choice of four mattresses each with varying degrees of firmness, and USB ports have been installed in every stateroom.

Every Suite ship also has 16 free-of-charge bicycles on board for clients who wish to tour ashore independently. The Panorama Bistro, open for light and diverse dinners, has gone to self-serve style with no reservations required.

“We know the success of a client’s experience can be all about the little touches, and we pride ourselves on our attention to detail,” said Stéphanie Bishop, Canadian managing director for the Globus family of brands, Avalon’s parent company, adding that in 2019 every ship in Avalon’s European fleet will be Panorama-class.
