SkyGreece is ready to take flight.

It was January 2013 when Open Jaw reported that a group of Greek-Canadians was proposing to launch a new air carrier targeting the Greek diaspora and other Canadian travellers.

On 20JAN of this year, the Canadian Transportation Agency gave SkyGreece its approval to operate sked services between the European Community and Canada, enabling the carrier to announce its plans for 2015 and 2016.

Beginning 17MAY, SkyGreece will offer 3 weekly flights from YYZ to ATH. From November through April 2016 2 weekly flights will take off. SkyGreece will also offer a weekly departure from YUL to ATH beginning 23MAY. As well, a weekly departure from YYZ to SKG will begin 20MAY.

“We have listened to the continuous demand of the Greek community in Canada and in Greece and decided to develop our flight schedule to meet the demand,” says Denis Codere, SkyGreece Deputy Chief Commercial Officer.

“The leisure demand for Greece is growing every year and we will support it with various commercial activities and new announcements in the next few weeks,” Codere added.
