Sunwing Vacations has announced several new connections to sun destinations from YYC this summer.

Sunwing Airlines will add 2 new direct flights to Cuba, with weekly Wednesday to Cayo Coco and weekly Thursday flights to Cayo Santa Maria. These flights are in addition to the Tuesday service to Varadero, Cuba that operated last summer.

Options to explore Mexico over the summer months direct from YYC have also been increased, with direct weekly flights to Los Cabos being introduced to complement existing weekly services to Cancun and Puerto Vallarta.

In addition, the weekly flight to Grand Bahama that commenced for the 1st time in November 2014 will be maintained throughout the summer months. The direct flight service to Montego Bay will also be maintained.

“Our flights from Calgary this winter have been extremely well received and we are delighted to be able to extend our summer programming to maintain some of the most popular routes all year,” said Andrew Dawson, Sunwing Travel Group Chief Operating Officer.

The new summer Cancun service will allow vacationers to be amongst the 1st travellers to enjoy a summer break at 2 new resorts exclusive to Sunwing that opened just before Christmas. Part of Sunwing’s Family and Luxury Collections™, the Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa boasts 843 rooms and suites. Dubbed a ‘resort within a resort,’ the adults-only 340 room Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun is a resort for guests over 18.
