Greg Dixon, affectionately known as "Dicko," has stepped down from his position as President of Flight Centre’s Canadian operations, where he has spent the past 8 years.

Word is that the Flight Centre executive is moving to a new Americas-wide role, tasked with building corporate business for the Flight Centre organization.

Australian born and raised, Dixon began his Flight Centre career as a consultant in 1988 and 8 months later became Team Leader.

He opened the company’s 1st corporate office in Sydney, Australia and followed that up by opening the 1st Student Flights office worldwide. He left the company to start his own business, returning 3 years later as National Leader for Flight Centre Direct.

In 2002, he became Sales and Marketing Manager for FCm Australia/Asia followed by a move to Vancouver a year later to establish FCm Travel Solutions in both Canada and the USA.

Dixon’s replacement will apparently be John Beauvais who is currently with Flight Centre in the U.S. That formal announcement is expected soon.
