With The Travel Institute estimating that 80% of North American travel agents will retire in the next 10 years, there's a big window of opportunity for new entrants to the business. Canadian host agency The Travel Agent Next Door and the Global Institute for Travel Entrepreneurs (GIFTE) have teamed up to help new agents succeed.

GIFTE and TTAND are joining forces to provide support, guidance and resources new agents. The two groups say that pairing TTAND's pricing options and back-end and overall support with GIFTE's marketing and business education training will give travel professionals tools to grow and thrive.

“We continue to look for enhancements to our program," says TTAND founder Flemming Friisdahl. “We know we provide some of the best fundamentals out there to our agents. But we don't stand still, and adding the motivational and entrepreneurial coaching that GIFTE offers will set our agents apart and give them a head start."

“GIFTE is excited to partner with a host agency that supports travel professional entrepreneurship and business savvy; agents who host with TTAND will receive their own websites, and TTAND is one of the only Canadian host agencies offering a 100% commission model to agents," said GIFTE founder and CEO Meredith Hill.

To further their entrepreneurial education, TTAND agents will receive special access to GIFTE's products and membership programs, which aim to empower travel professionals to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, explore innovative marketing techniques, and tap into a supportive community of like-minded travel business owners.

“TTAND is clearly devoted to and invested in travel agent education," said Hill. “By partnering with GIFTE, they're providing their agents with unparalleled marketing and mindset support, which are the often-overlooked cornerstones of travel business success. I'm so pleased and proud that GIFTE's first Canadian host agency partnership is with TTAND."

Founded by Hill in 2011, GIFTE's mission is to “revolutionize" the way travel advisors market and grow their businesses. The group says its products and programs provide tools, resources and support to help travel professionals reach a new level of success.
