Etihad Airways has appointed Craig Thomas as General Manager for Canada.
Thomas will be based in Toronto, where he will be responsible for all
commercial activity for the airline, as well as further growing its
relationships with trade and corporate partners. Thomas will report to Martin
Drew, V.P. of The Americas for Etihad.
He most recently served as Etihad Airways' Regional General Manager -
Asia Pacific North and the Indian Subcontinent, based in Bangkok. He joined EY
in 2005 as the Sales and Marketing Manager - Southern Africa and later served
as the airline's General Manager – Thailand and State Manager of Victoria,
Tasmania and South Australia.
Danny Barranger, Vice President of Global Sales for Etihad Airways,

will be a tremendous asset as consumer demand for travel between Canada, the
UAE and onto the Indian Subcontinent and destinations around the world
continues to grow. As we celebrate Etihad Airway's 10
of service in Canada this year, he will play a critical role in helping further
raise awareness about the airline's world-class product and hospitality
offerings for guests traveling with us."
Etihad Airways currently operates 3 flights per week between Abu Dhabi
Thomas, who assumes his new role on June 16th, replaces James
Harrison who has been appointed General Manager - United Kingdom for Etihad
