SkyGreece Launches Website For Claims; Can’t Pay Them ‘At This Time’

SkyGreece says that “in spite of its recent challenges, the company looks forward to serving passengers again soon.” In a statement the beleaguered airline also says it plans on “doing everything it can” to take care of affected pax.


However, it remains unclear how the airline plans to accomplish either of those things.


The airline has appointed Ernst & Young as a trustee and has set up a website where pax are invited to file claims. Claim forms are available on the website. SkyGreece is encouraging affected customers to complete the form and return it to the Proposal Trustee at

However, while SkyGreece says it is working with Ernst & Young to develop a restructuring plan, it warns that its success “cannot be assured.” It says “the restructuring proceedings are the best way to see that all parties, including passengers, are compensated fairly.”


The SkyGreece statement ends with the following warning: “Please note: At this time, SkyGreece is unable to reimburse passengers for the cost of these alternate arrangements, but intends to address these costs through its restructuring plan.”


SkyGreece is still suggesting that those passengers whose flights have been cancelled contact their travel agent to make alternate travel arrangements. It also makes the following suggestion: “In the event any SkyGreece passenger requires additional or local assistance in a foreign country, the airline has arranged for the following independent travel agencies to assist passengers with booking alternate travel arrangements:
