Flight Centre Canada Names Friend & Jupp To Executive V.P. Roles

Flight Centre has made 2 senior executive announcements in the Americas region.  Mike Friend has been named Executive Vice President of Leisure Operations for the Americas while  Emma Jupp will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Product for the Americas effective 01JAN.


"Both of these new roles are entirely focused on benefitting our clients, our people and our partners, and exemplify our commitment to being the best travel company in the Americas,"  said Flight Centre Canada President John Beauvais.


Friendis currently the Product Nation leader in Canada. He has enjoyed a successful career with Flight Centre since joining the company as a consultant in Melbourne in 1996. 


“Mike will be successful in this new role for many reasons; most notably because of his passion for the success of our consultants at the front-end of our business,” said Beauvais.


Jupp began her career with Flight Centre in Vancouver almost 20 years ago. She has been Product Nation leader in both Canada and the U.S. and was the Managing Director of Backroads Touring Company in the U.K. 


She will be based in the company’s Ramsey, NJ headquarters until June 2016, and will then return home to Toronto. 


“For the past several years Emma has been the president of the U.S.A.'s iconic retail brand, Liberty Travel.  Her hard work and effort has set Liberty Travel up to be in position to accelerate growth and profitability over the coming years. We are excited to welcome her back to Canada,” said Beauvais.
