Cruise Strategies Ltd. has announced a partnership with Uncommon Journeys, a U.S.-based tour operator offering luxury and vintage rail, river and ocean cruise travel.

Founded in 1990 and based in Oakland, CA, Uncommon Journeys features deluxe rail and cruise programs where guests are invited to enjoy a level of service that recalls the golden age of travel.

The company is also the only operator with its own private classic Streamliner train service aboard the Great Western Limited.  Rail/cruise programs operate in conjunction with Holland America Line, Cunard and French America Line.

“We are delighted that Cruise Strategies will introduce Canadian travel agents to our unique approaches to train travel and river and ocean cruising, and will soon share details of our 2016 Chairman’s Select journeys that celebrate the best of North America,” said Kevin R. Tam, President, Uncommon Journeys.

Cruise Strategies’ team will provide sales and marketing support for Uncommon Journeys to retail travel agencies throughout Canada. Services include sales and product training, support for group opportunities and group travel, webinars, promotional opportunities, co-operative ad campaigns and cruise and client event presentations as well as PR and communications.

“We are truly delighted to bring Uncommon Journeys and their wonderful product into our portfolio,” said Vanessa Lee, President of Cruise Strategies. “This is a somewhat different brand for us to embrace and we are extremely keen to showcase their various itineraries featuring cruise and rail journeys to our Canadian travel agent partners – and on some of the industry’s most iconic cruise brands. We are looking forward to working with the sales and marketing teams at Uncommon Journeys, a company with a stellar reputation in the travel industry”.
