Canada Follows U.S. Lead With Playacar Advisory

ACV says CUN & Playacar still ‘a very strong destination’ as Canada follows the U.S. in issuing a ‘security alert.’

Mexican officials say the Caribbean resort city of Playa del Carmen is safe and hotel occupancy is at 80%, despite a U.S. security alert that has now been echoed in Canada.

ACV's Managing Director, Nino Montagnese, confirmed to Open Jaw that CUN continues to be a very strong destination for the operator and they haven't experienced a slowdown in bookings.

Canada has not issued an advisory. Canada notes that the USA has issued an advisory. Huge difference (and stupid).

Flying on Mar 24 and have no intentions of cancelling. Looking forward to beautiful Playa del Carmen.
