Maxxim Vacations Hosts Kitchen Party In Toronto
In Atlantic Canada they are famous for their kitchen parties, so it was appropriate that Maxxim Vacations, the well-known Atlantic Canada tour specialist, held just that type of cozy function this week at Campbell House. (This is the pretty red brick house at the corner of University and Queen that thousands of T-dotters’ pass by every day and wonder what it’s doing there!)
Playing host at the event, held in the historic home’s brick floored kitchen, was Judy Sparkes-Giannou, president of Maxxim. Judy clearly knows Atlantic Canada like the back of her hand, and with 700 suppliers of everything from Bed and Breakfasts to kayaking trips, is well equipped to show your clients a wonderful down home time.
“We customize, customize, customize,” she explains, stating that though Maxxim has many established itineraries, for the majority of their clients they end up putting together an individual package. Agents shouldn’t be shy about calling to arrange their clients’ personalized vacation plan. The average Maxxim stay in the Maritimes, she told us, is nine nights; for travellers to Newfoundland and Labrador, 11 nights.
Not only does Maxxim pay 10% commission on those nice duration air-and-land packages, but they’ve extended their early booking $50 discount to the end of this month. And Maxxim boasts a very high repeat factor.
All good news to warm up a chilly economy in front of the cozy fireplace at Campbell House.
