Kangaroos, Koalas & BBQ

No little bears were harmed during the course of this event...

Who knew there were kangaroos and koalas right here in Toronto? There were a few spottings last week, as Contiki Holidays, Trafalgar Tours, AAT Kings and Tourism Australia treated agents and industry guests alike to a day on Toronto Island to help them discover some of the beauties of Australia right here in our city!

The day started off with a lovely boat cruise around the Toronto Harbour and over to Hanlan’s point on Toronto Island. After hearing from Cris David of Contiki and various product partners, guests were treated to a delicious Aussie style BBQ followed by games and activities. There were even a few surfboards on hand, although Lake Ontario temperatures and lack of waves got in the way of that fun…turns out you really do have to leave Toronto to experience all that is OZ!
