Signature Lunching - The Pause That Refreshes

A monsoon-like downpour appropriately christened the Signature Vacations “Refresh Yourself” gathering in Toronto’s Distillery District on Monday. As always, the gracious Sig hosts put on a splashy lunch. The four courses of tasty Italian fare were interspersed with gentle reminders about selling Signature this winter. According to President, Mike Price, a number of “learns” from last winter are being applied to this season. Foremost, was the declaration of no additional capacity – which received a round of applause from the assembled retail managers and owners.

Signature is addressing Canadians’ fondness for last minute offers by introducing a price lowering guarantee called Signature Savers. The need for more leg room has led to the introduction of Star Class seating. And, there’s also lots of new product – including a TUI volunteer tourism program in Costa Rica called i-to-i.

Well sated, it was time to brave the deluge – whereupon gentleman Kevin Kalbfleish appeared armed with an umbrella willing to accompany me back to my car. We both still got refreshingly drenched.
