India Keeps Calling & Insight Vacations Wants Me To Answer

I've alluded to my affair with India before but last week’s Insight Vacations event was a clear sign of why I can't let go.

The tour operator hosted a private screening of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel inside the Cineplex Odeon Varsity & VIP Cinemas and the scenes shown in the movie amplified the reasons why I fell for India in the 1st place; elaborate parties; lively people; colourful cities and Bollywood flash mobs. Although I'm not too sure if that spontaneous dancing happens in the real India.

Cris David, President of Insight Vacations, quoted Judy Dench, one of the stars in the movie, as saying: “the one thing I didn’t have to act was my love for India” - Judy gets me.

“The movie is set in a truly unique destination,” David said, adding that it complements Insight’s newest India Specialist brochure. The country is actually the fastest growing destination for Insight according to David - the operator has seen a 120% growth for 2015 bookings. “We showcase the real India through the eyes of locals,” he said.

Yes, through the eyes of the locals but also with a touch of all-inclusive luxury. Insight’s India includes highlights of luxury hotels, luxury experiences and luxury dining. Key word: luxury. In fact, Insight’s Gold itineraries for India, Nepal and Bhutan are now all part of the all-inclusive luxury repertoire. If that isn’t enough, let’s bring in the 787 Dreamliner. Air Canada will be launching year-round non-stop service between Toronto and Delhi onboard the aircraft beginning 01NOV.

All the stars seem to be aligning - I have to take India’s call.
