Air France Inaugurates Non-stop PAR-YVR Flights
On Sunday March 29, Air France
inaugurated its non-stop service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle
and Vancouver International Airport. Ceremonies took place upon landing in YVR.
“Bienvenue Air France! British Columbians have been asking for direct service to Paris for some time and we are very excited to welcome Air France to YVR," said Craig Richmond, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “This new service creates opportunities for business, tourism and trade and strengthens our already strong air access ties with Europe."
The 5 weekly flights will be operated by Boeing 777-200 equipped with 309 seats – 35 in Business, 24 in Premium Economy and 250 in Economy. As of 13JUL, 1 of these flights will be operated by a Boeing 777-200 equipped with the Company's new Best&Beyond cabins.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will also inaugurate a new service between Amsterdam-Schiphol and Edmonton in 2015.
Furthermore, Air France-KLM
has signed a partnership with WestJet to offer new connecting opportunities
in North America.
An additional 20 cities will be served by WestJet on departure from 5 Canadian destinations served by the Group.
