Franca Perruzza

Do you have a specialty? We're an Italian agency so we're very ethnic.

Yet you won the Rising Star award from Sandals Resorts last year. Italians love Sandals and I can sell it because I've been many times.

What was your biggest individual sale? I had two: one was a Princess Cruise for $14,000 and I did a honeymoon to the Turks and Caicos Islands for $18,000.

What drives you crazy? (laughs again) Making no money.

Do you have a magic sentence to close the sale? Depending on what I’m selling. If it's Sandals I say: "Take it from me, you’ll love it."

What do you do to keep your clients loyal? I'm like a little family run business so when they come in they feel like they are at home. I speak Italian to my Italian clients and because I've been to Jamaica over 20 times I speak Jamaican patois with the Jamaicans - they do a double take when they meet me, I can tell you!

What's the best piece of advice you ever received? Keep doing what you're doing.

Where would you like to see Sandals open their next resort? The Dominican Republic - Punta Cana or Samana would be great.

If you had to spend six months in a destination, which one would you pick? Jamaica - I've met a lot of friends there and it's a beautiful island.
