How long have you been in the business? 13 years
How many hours per week do you work? I actually have two full time jobs: I am a headhunter plus a travel agent. I work from 6:00 to 11:00 at night at Algonquin on weekdays and mostly all weekends. I honestly don’t mind it – travel has always been my passion!
Where is your next trip taking you? I’m escorting a wedding group of 65 to Cancun.
What was your biggest single sale? This wedding group - $150,000.
Do you have a magic sentence to “close the sale”? Not exactly - I think personality match is everything. If the client doesn’t mesh with you, you should see if someone else in the agency can help them.
If you could sit next to anyone in the world on the long flight who would lit be? Donald Trump.
Do you have any time management strategies? My Outlook calendar saves my life. Everyone should use it!
What do you see as the up and coming leisure travel trend? European cruising.
What was the best piece of advice you ever received? “Never give up on your dreams.”
If you had to spend 6 months in a destination what would it be and why? Australia, by far. Because it’s got vast amounts of everything.
What do you do to keep your clients loyal? I’m their friend. Relationships are everything.
