Transat & SOS Children’s Villages Donate $33,000 To Nepal Earthquake Victims

Transat and SOS Children's Villages have agreed to donate their Twitter auction proceeds to emergency relief efforts in Nepal.

On 23APR Transat held an auction on the social media site selling 20 flights to some of its most popular destinations in Europe. The event raised nearly $33,000 and was donated to the humanitarian organization SOS Children's Villages.

Two days later, an earthquake struck Nepal.

In response to the humanitarian crisis, both Transat and SOS Children's Villages decided to donate all of the proceeds from the auction - the money will be used to provide immediate relief to local communities in Nepal. SOS Children's Villages representatives will be helping unaccompanied children who have been separated from their families.

Transat and SOS Children's Villages Canada invite members of the public to support child victims of the Nepal earthquake.
