Norwegian Cruise Line Takes Delivery Of Norwegian Escape

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. CEO Frank Del Rio accepts delivery of Norwegian Escape from MEYER WERFT Managing Partner Bernard Meyer  

Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery today of its largest ship to date, the 164,600 gross ton Norwegian Escape, from MEYER WERFT during a ceremony in Bremerhaven. Norwegian Escape is the 1st ship in the company’s new Breakaway Plus Class. Following delivery, the ship set sail for Hamburg for the start of her European inaugural festivities. After a 2 night stop in Southampton, Norwegian Escape will make the crossing to her year-round homeport of Miami on 29OCT. The ship will be christened in Miami on 09NOV.
