Flight Centre Raises $30,000 For Friends Of The Asian Elephant

Thanks to CX and Intrepid Travel, 13 Flight Centre employees travelled to Thailand for the 2nd annual charity trip that raised $30,000 for Friends of the Asian Elephant, a program based in Chiang Mai that is dedicated to improving the well-being and conservation of the Asian elephant.

The purpose of the trip was to learn about Responsible Travel practices with respect to animal welfare and to raise awareness and funds for Friends of the Asian Elephant.

“Those of us that participated in the trip felt incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to learn firsthand what is involved in travelling responsibly. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of Intrepid Travel and Cathay Pacific Airways. We are truly grateful and hope to pass on what we learned to our colleagues as well as clients so that we can do our part in ensuring that travelling responsibly is at the forefront of booking decisions.” said Allison Wallace, Director of Media & Communications, Flight Centre Canada.
