Porter President & CEO Robert Deluce arrives for the ceremony

Deluce cuts the big birthday cake with Bombardier and YTZ officials.

Porter’s top agent partners, staff, suppliers and friends gathered at YTZ Monday to celebrate the carrier’s many achievements and challenges since its launch 10 years ago.  When Robert Deluce got Porter off the ground at YTZ, the little island airport was under pressure to close – since it was handling only about 2,000 pax annually. Today, they are serving 23 destinations and carry about 2.5 million pax and continue to expand as PD adds new routes and frequencies. The carrier now operates 26 Bombardier Q400’s and has 3 more on the way to start operations in December.
