Carlson Wagonlit Launches “Your World Of Possibilities” Training Academies

Carlson Wagonlit Travel recently launched a series of CWT Training Academies for owners, managers and advisors in the travel industry themed “Your World of Possibilities” to emphasize the growing opportunity for travel in the Canadian marketplace.
Tourism spending in Canada is approaching $90 billion, with a far-reaching impact on the economy, according to the Conference Board of Canada. Canadians spend more than $35 billion annually while travelling outside the country. Canadians also travel internationally for leisure purposes at more than twice the rate per capita as do Americans.
“It’s an exciting time for the travel industry,” said Louise Gardiner, CWT Senior Director, Associate Program, Canada. “We realize we’re now living in the experience economy. There is a shift from a focus on material goods to spending valuable time and money on creating memorable moments and experiences. The goal of our conference was to bring our partners together to share ideas on how we can boost tourism and create lasting travel memories for our clients.”
