Discover America Day Highlights Return Of Florida, Houston

Discover America Day in Toronto attracted a solid audience with each of the approximately 30 exhibitor booths greeting new visitors on a 10-minute rotation.

It was a pleasure to see Visit Florida and Visit Houston in attendance, each highlighting that despite recent hurricanes they are back in business and ready to welcome Canadians.

Visit Florida CEO Ken Lawson says agents will get plenty of support to stimulate the market this fall and winter. “We have put together an aggressive marketing plan that showcases sunshine, blue skies and good times at over 12,000 industry businesses across the state.”

Walt Disney Resort Florida took the occasion to announce the introduction of a ‘never-ending park pass.' The 7-day unlimited park pass does not have an expiry date, so clients can enjoy unlimited fun at any of the WDW parks with the flexibility to fit their fun into their own individual travel plan.  

Many other destinations across Florida are eagerly awaiting Canadians arrival this winter such as St. Petersburg, which has recently launched the “Gulp Coast” Craft Brewery Passport offering a map of all the local breweries. Craft beer aficionados are invited to fill the passport to be eligible for a secret prize pack.
