Over the past few weeks, WestJet has welcomed more than 2,000 travel agents at its fourth annual Travel Trade Expos. The Expos kicked off in Edmonton and travelled to Vancouver, Calgary, Mississauga and Halifax, with more events to come.
In each city, presentations focused on the airline’s plans for international expansion, its enhanced schedule, product enhancements and more. To thank its partners for their support, WestJet gave away more than 50 prizes in each city.
“This is an exciting time at WestJet as we expand into new markets, take delivery of new aircraft and work toward our vision of becoming the most caring global airline,” said Jane Clementino, WestJet director, agency sales. “We see the travel trade as an extension of the WestJet team, so these events give us a chance to sit down with agents across Canada, listen to their feedback and share how our partnerships will positively contribute to WestJet’s future.”
The next stops on the tour include Ajax (7MAY), La Prairie (8MAY) and Laval (9MAY). WestJet will continue to hold trade shows and local presentations into the fall, visiting close to 30 cities by the end of the year.
“We want to thank all our partners for their ongoing support and partnership, and wish them a Happy Travel Agent Appreciation Month from all of us at WestJet,” said Clementino.
