The Race Is On: Tina The Travel Agent @ The Air Canada Kissimmee Race
Our courageous cardboard mascot Tina the Travel Agent is participating in the Air Canada Race at the Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, along with her human emotional support person Karen Dahdah. Here's what's happening.
The excitement began with a meet and greet at YYZ, with all 35 agents taking part in the Air Canada Race competition gathering before boarding the 2.5 hour flight to MCO. They came from far and wide -- as far west as Prince Rupert, BC and as far east as the coast of Labrador.
For the first time in the history of the race, Air Canada staff and media were also invited to take part.

On the first evening we were joined by the eminently personable Steve Goodfellow, Director of Sales at Air Canada and Denise Graham, Account Manager for Experience Kissimmee, for a cocktail reception on the 11th floor rooftop dining room.

After an early start, we divided into groups of 5, and as natural born leaders, Tina and I led a team of four agents to the first ever AC Race Footgolf tournament. It was essentially soccer with a golf twist or vice versa, and it could not have been more fun!
After lunch it was on to our next adventure, high above the ground, in a tree top trekking maze! Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park is home to four challenging obstacle courses, anywhere from 10 to 35 feet above ground. Fear of heights? This would not be for you!
All in all, it was a great start to the competition. However, the tree trek was cut short, for safety reasons, due to thunder and lightning. Tina tends to wilt in the rain. We all had a great workout and are looking forward to dinner at the Island Grove Winery at Formosa Gardens.
