WestJet Kicks Off 2019 Travel Trade Expos

WestJet kicked off its 2019 Travel Trade Expos this week, hosting more than 750 travel agents in Ajax and Mississauga on 16 & 17APR, respectively. Next stops are in Vancouver, Langley, Edmonton and Calgary, and ultimately the company expects over 2,500 travel agents will attend.

In each city, agents are hosted by their regional WestJet BDMs and interact with many of the airline’s preferred hotel and destination partners. Key highlights include the various product enhancements, the new Dreamliner routes and the Business cabin.

“The transition to become a global carrier, while staying true to our core, has been exciting as we have announced new routes, new destinations, and taken delivery of our first three 787 Dreamliner’s,” said Jane Clementino, WestJet director, agency sales. “We value the relationship with our travel trade partners and these events give us a chance to meet the agents and listen to feedback in order to continue successful long-term relationships.”
