CWT Recognizes Travel Partners At 2019 Gala Awards

Suppliers, travel professionals and business executives dusted off bellbottoms and broke out afro wigs last weekend for CWT's disco-themed gala awards dinner and dance party.

The awards show, taking place on 8JUN as part of the company's annual three-day Leisure North American Regional Meetings 2019, highlighted individuals and agencies who have excelled in specific categories: CWT Membership Support, CWT Preferred Supplier Support, CWT Ambassador of the Year, CWT Social Advocate of the year, and a brand-new category CWT Social Advocate of the Year.

Some of the highlights include:

  • Karen Marshall at CWT London Ontario was recognized as the CWT Leisure Canada Ambassador. This award is given to a person that is highly respected in the community and by her peers, is supportive of CWT training and staff mentoring across the LLB network, and has membership growth support and increases.
  • The winner of the Associate Branch of the Year Award is presented to an agency that has the highest increase in preferred supplier, insurance sales, RBC sales & points awarded. This year, it was awarded to Sam and Rob Lowes at CWT Blowes Travel and Cruises.
  • The Social Advocate of the Year, a brand new award introduced this year, showcases an individual who has the highest earned social media value and the highest engagement rate. This accolade was given to Laura Ruiz-Wysemen at Ellison Travel & Tours.

That evening, CWT also gave a shout out to Stewart Travel for celebrating 25 years with CWT.

The Leisure North American Regional Meetings 2019, which took place from 7-9JUN, were hosted at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre and welcomed 50 supplier partners, and 220 travel professionals, business owners and managers.
