Taiwan & Hong Kong Showcased As Ideal Multi-Destination Trip At Seminar
Mr William Wang, Trade Account Manager- Toronto, Americas of Cathay Pacific Airways presented the grand prize trip to Ms Faye Tulagan-Kular of Gentours Travel in her Toronto Office
Taiwan-Hong Kong’s “2 Stories One Trip” agent seminars were held in Ontario between 16-18JUL, taking place in Mississauga, Hamilton and Ottawa.
Each seminar featured presentations by Cathay Pacific Airways, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Partners for the events included tour operators GLP Worldwide, Goway, Nexus and Royal Scenic.
In Cathay’s presentation, the airline shared that it will be switching the Toronto afternoon departure flights (Wed/Fri/Sun) from B777 to A350-1000 aircraft starting on 27OCT, 2019. This change will add more business class capacity and an enhanced experience to the flight. There are over 70 weekly flights from Toronto and Vancouver to Taiwan and Hong Kong providing more than 24,000 seats.
Once in Asia, travellers may want to combine both destinations in one trip as there is a frequent flight schedule between Hong Kong and Taiwan, with 58 daily flights between the two destinations, an average of one every 25 minutes.
Why Taiwan and Hong Kong? Research has shown that over 90% of Canadian visitors to Taiwan and Hong Kong are in search of a rich and rewarding multi-destination experience, and this combination certainly delivers different experiences - the contrast of nature in Taiwan and the excitement of city life in Hong Kong.
Agents are directed to visit the mini site www.2storiesonetrip.com that features a variety of travel stories as well as details of the packages available.
Finally, a draw was conducted at the end of the Ottawa seminar, and Faye Tulagan-Kular from Gentours Travel in Toronto took home the Grand Prize – a trip for two to Taiwan and Hong Kong.
