Travel Industry Sticks It To Juvenile Diabetes At Annual UNIGLOBE Golf Tourney

Juvenile diabetes has been a fact of life for UNIGLOBE Travel (Eastern Canada) Director of Marketing Sonia McKeon for many years. Two of her three children were diagnosed with the disease at age 7. They’re now 20 and 22 and doing great, but that hasn’t stopped McKeon, her UNIGLOBE colleagues and industry members from gathering each year for a fundraising industry golf tournament.

On a beautiful September day at Carrying Place Golf & Country Club north of Toronto, tournament participants had a great time and left with the satisfaction that their efforts had resulted in an $11,000 donation to help raise awareness and enable research.

Tournament sponsors include Air Canada, Air Canada Vacations, Avis Budget Group, Enterprise Holdings, Sabre Travel Network, WestJet and WestJet Vacations.

Open Jaw was among the many hole sponsors at the tournament.
