ACTA Holds First Travel Industry Leadership Summit

ACTA held its first Canadian Travel Industry Leadership Summit yesterday at Toronto’s upscale St. Regis Hotel, bringing together key supplier representatives, consortia and host agency leaders and others for a day of discussions on the key issues impacting the industry.

A panel of leading supplier representatives discussed the multi-level distribution
strategies of airlines, hotels, cruise lines and car rental companies.

There were several panels and presentations during the Summit, including a seminar on “How To Navigate Through Disruption,” a discussion on distribution developments including NDC and One Order, and an interesting panel on how and why suppliers devote resources to various sales channels, from retail to direct.

Look for more coverage of the event on Open Jaw in the days to come.
