Solmar Foundation Supports Employees And Local Communities In Cabo San Lucas

Solmar Foundation is an organization focused on supporting Los Cabos women and children living in poverty through community programs. Through the foundation, Solmar Hotels & Resorts announced it has provided local communities with more than 2,000 aid packages since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the destination.

The Los Cabos hotelier will continue to pay a salary to each employee during the closure of its seven properties, as well as to continuously deliver care packages with supplies to employees and those in need. Currently, the Solmar Foundation has delivered more than 2,000 packages with food and basic products to hotel employees and vulnerable communities in Baja California amid the spread of the novel coronavirus.

To carry out the deliveries, Solmar Foundation has received support from a select group of volunteers who, following strict health safety protocols, get together to prepare thousands of packages with basic necessities, including vegetable oil, natural spring water, sugar, canned beans, toothpaste, and more.

Additionally, 500 packages have been distributed to beneficiaries with extreme needs included in the foundation's census that includes single mothers, people with disabilities or terminal illnesses and first responders, such as firefighters and medical personnel.

Solmar Hotels & Resorts has also pledged to match every dollar donated, and has raised more than $25,000 dollars for this health emergency. All donations are tax deductible and can be made through the official website. For more information, visit www.solmarfoundation.com.
