On 11 NOV, Norwegian Cruise Line will make its return to New Orleans with 5-11 day cruises to the Caribbean aboard Norwegian Breakaway.
The recently renovated 1,068 feet, 145,655 tons ship will be the largest to ever homeport in the city of New Orleans. The Breakaway class vessel will offer guests the freedom to design their vacation at sea with no set meal and entertainment times, 25 dining options, 22 bars and lounges, a comprehensive water park and an entertainment program which boasts plenty of New Orleans style.
“We are excited to introduce Norwegian Breakaway to New Orleans, providing our guests with another premium destination to cruise from when sailing to the Caribbean,” said NCL president and CEO Andy Stuart. “New Orleans is well known for its lively music, culinary scene and entertainment, a perfect complement to the high-calibre experiences guests will discover on Norwegian Breakaway.”
Since its renovation, Norwegian Breakaway has debuted refreshed staterooms and public areas alongside a new bar and lounge concept to the fleet. Syd Norman’s Pour House -- modelled after influential rock houses such as CBGB’s, The Rainbow and The Fillmore is a tribute renowned playwright Chris D’Arenso. It features vintage décor, diner-style seating, signature cocktails, and an endless playlist of classic rock spanning from the 1960's to the 1980's.
Norwegian Breakaway is slated to sail from New Orleans on 12 APR, 2019 and will offer five, seven, ten and eleven-day Western Caribbean cruises with calls to top Caribbean destinations like Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; Belize City, and to Norwegian's own resort -- Harvest Caye.
