Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, Windstar Cruises, Crystal Cruises and Hurtigruten have each extended the temporary suspensions of their operations to at least May 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Linesays it will resume sailings on 8MAY, 2020.
"We are in communication with all guests booked on a cancelled sailing, as well as with our travel advisor partners, and we are offering a 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for all guests booked on a cancelled sailing," said Oneil Khosa, CEO of Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line.
For those not opting for the FCC, the cruise line is also offering a 100% refund, including taxes, fees, charges, and any pre-paid amenity or package.
Windstar Cruisesis extending suspension of operations until 21MAY, 2020.
For affected guests, Windstar is offering an FCC valued at 125%. Guests will have until 31DEC, 2021 to book and sail with their FCC. Guests may choose a 100% refund instead, and have until 31DEC, 2021.
Also, due to the impact the pandemic has had on Italy where theStar Breezeis currently under renovation, Windstar is cancelling its entire 2020 Alaska program.
"We anticipate theStar Breezewill leave the Fincantieri shipyard in late July. The ship will spend its summer sailing in the Mediterranean before heading to Australia in the fall," said Andrew Todd, CEO, Windstar Cruises.
Hurtigruten is suspending all expedition cruises until 12MAY. Hurtigruten’s Alaska expedition cruise season will be postponed to JUL due to new travel restrictions from Canadian authorities, and operations on the Norwegian coast will be suspended through 20MAY.
"The situation is affecting virtually everyone in one way or another. Hurtigruten is no exception. This is a setback for us, for the local communities we work with and for our guests. But the setback is only temporarily, says Hurtigruten CEO Daniel Skjeldam.
Affected guests receive an FCC valued at 125% and a 10% discount on any future Hurtigruten cruise (Expedition or Norwegian Coast) from 1JUL 2020 to 31DEC 2021. Even though they are not affected by the temporary suspension of operations, guests booked on voyages through 30SEP 2020 are offered rebooking, without any rebooking fee and the 10% discount on a future booking.
Crystal Cruises has cancelled a number of sailings across its Crystal Cruises, Crystal River Cruises and Crystal Yacht Cruises brands through the end of May 2020.
Guests on affected sailings will be able to choose from a 100% refund or an FCC equal to 125% of their cruise fare paid, valid on any Crystal experience (Ocean, River, Yacht or Expedition) embarking through 31DEC, 2022.
