Supplier Schedule Updates: Cruise Lines

With ocean and river cruise lines temporarily suspending service around the world as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re keeping tabs on when operators are expected to resume sailings.

Here’s a comprehensive summary of the latest return-to-service announcements. The information will be updated as cruise lines announce updates to their operations.

CRUISE LINES RETURN TO SERVICE DATE
AIDA AIDA Cruises will be resuming sailings in Europe on 31AUG and has canceled its US/Canada program through year's end.

AIDA Cruises said it is working on a quick restart, based on the opening of European borders.


AMAWATERWAYS AmaWaterways is suspending river cruise sailings through 15SEP, 2020.

AmaWaterways is offering a future cruise credit for all passengers impacted by the cancellations. 
AMERICAN CRUISE LINE American Cruise Lines is uncertain when they will resume Mississippi River and Columbia-Snake River sailings due to the COVID-19 spikes in Oregon. 

American Cruise Line has cancelled Alaska sailing for this summer and the resumption date is uncertain. 

The company has pushed back some of its July sailings, but has not announced a resumption date. 
AMERICAN QUEEN STEAMBOAT COMPANY American Queen Steamboat Company has further extended its suspension.

The American Empress, which sails the Columbia and Snake rivers, will extend its suspension through 02AUG. 

The American Duchess, which sails on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee rivers, will extend its suspension through 17AUG, 2020.

The American Countess will make its debut on 23AUG, 2020. 

The American Countess and American Queen will suspend service through 08AUG, 2020.

AVALON WATERWAYS Avalon Waterways is suspending all travel operations through 30SEP, 2020. 
AZAMARA Azamara Club Cruises has set its return to service date as 30SEP, 2020.
BAHAMAS PARADISE
CRUISE LINE
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line has suspended operations through 01OCT, 2020. The cruise line had previously expected to resume sailings onboard Grand Celebration on 25JUL. 

"In recent days, amidst a spike in COVID-19 cases in many states across the [United States], we’ve seen mounting pressures to modify reopening plans and consideration of the return of stay-at-home orders. Additionally, new restrictions from the Bahamas have been announced, requiring travellers to present a negative swab test prior to entry. In an effort to provide the safest environment for our passengers and crew, we have no choice but to further postpone our sailing schedule," the company announced on 13JUL, 2020.
CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE

Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled all cruises between 01OCT, 2020 to 31OCT, 2020. 

CELEBRITY CRUISES Celebrity Cruises has extended its return to service date until 15SEP, 2020.
CELESTYAL CRUISES Celestyal Cruises has extended the suspension of its sailings until 06MAR, 2021.
COSTA CRUISES Costa Cruises  extended its suspension of operations until 15AUG and canceled all Northern Europe sailings for the remainder of the 2020 summer season

CROISIEUROPE CroisiEurope has restarted its river cruises in France as the first vessel sailed on the Seine on 13JUL, followed by the Rhone and the Burgundy Canal on 16JUL, 2020.

Rhine cruises returned on 20JUL, the Loire on 31JUL, and the Gironde will return 26AUG.

Ocean cruises to Corsica resumed service on 26JUL. 

Europe cruises resumed on the Danube on 31JUL. The Elbe will resume on 03AUG, the Douro on 07AUG, and in Croatia from 13AUG.
CRYSTAL CRUISES Crystal Cruises has cancelled all cruises until 2021. 
CUNARD Cunard previously stated it would extend its operational pause up to 31JUL, 2020. Cunard has now extended the suspension until NOV.
 
Flagship Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria will have sailings cancelled until 01NOV, 2020, and Queen Elizabeth until 23NOV, 2020.
 
DISNEY CRUISE LINE Disney Cruise Line has extended cruise cancellations until the end of July or later.

All 2020 Alaska cruises are cancelled due to the extended Canada cruise ship ban.

Disney Cruise Line Extends Suspension of Departures for the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder through 30SEP, 2020 and Disney Magic through 02OCT, 2020. 
HOLLAND AMERICA LINE Holland America Line is extending its pause of cruise operations and cancelling additional departures from the port of Vancouver in 2020, as well as select Hawaii itineraries for early 2021. The following cruises will be cancelled:

Eurodam:
  •  26SEP, 2020, 22-day Panama Canal cruise from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 
Koningsdam:
  •  26SEP, 2020, seven-day Pacific Northwest cruise from Vancouver to San Diego, California. 
  • 16JAN and 02FEB, 2021, Circle Hawaii Voyages roundtrip from San Diego. 
Maasdam:
  •  21SEP, 2020, 16-day Mexico and Sea of Cortez itinerary from Vancouver to San Diego. 
Noordam:
  •  27SEP, 2020, 14-day North Pacific Crossing from Vancouver to Yokohama, Japan. 
Volendam:
  •  30SEP, 03OCT and 10OCT, 2020, three- and seven-day Pacific Northwest and coastal cruises from Vancouver.
Westerdam:
  •  SEP20, 2020, 17-day Circle Hawaii cruise roundtrip from Vancouver. 02OCT, 2020, 23-day Inca Discovery voyage from Vancouver to San Antonio (Santiago), Chile.
HURTIGRUTEN All Hurtigruten expedition cruises have been temporarily suspended. 
MSC MSC Cruises announced that it will further extend the temporary fleet-wide halt of its cruise operation out of the US through to 15SEP, 2020.

The announcement impacts two ships – MSC Seaside and MSC Armonia – that were previously scheduled to sail in the region during this time period. Guests affected by the cancelled cruises will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) by 20JUL, 2020.

For the Summer 2020 Season, MSC Cruises has  announced the temporary halting to its current ship operation up until 31JUL, 2020, in the other regions where the Company operates.
NCL Norwegian Cruise Line suspended all voyages for NCL through 31OCT, 2020.

Impacted NCL sailings in OCT 2020 include:
Norwegian Bliss departing 12OCT
Norwegian Joy departing 04OCT
Norwegian Breakaway departing 04-11OCT
Norwegian Gem departing 02-09OCT

OCEANIA CRUISES Oceania Cruises suspended all voyages with embarkation dates through 01OCT, 2020 to 31OCT, 2020.

All impacted Oceania Cruises passengers can choose between future cruise credits or refunds.
PONANT Ponant and Paul Gauguin resumed operations in July with eight ships setting sail from Iceland, Dalmatian Coast, the Arctic, France and French Polynesia.

This includes the inaugural seasons for the two EXPLORER vessels, Le Bellot and Le Jacques Cartier. 
PRINCESS Princess Cruises extended its pause in global operations to 15DEC, 2020, for all but five ships serving Australia.

All cruises sailing in and out of Australia on Majestic Princess, Regal Princess, Sapphire Princess, Sea Princess and Sun Princess are paused through 31OCT, 2020.
REGENT SEVEN SEAS CRUISES Regent Seven Seas suspended voyages with embarkation dates through 30SEP, 2020, as well as Seven Seas Navigator voyages departing 08-18OCT, 2020.
ROYAL CARIBBEAN Royal Caribbean has extended its return to service date until 30SEP, 2020, with the exception of cruises sailing out of China which will be suspended until end of July. 
SAGA SAGA has suspended its Spirit Of Discovery ship until 31AUG, 2020. 
SEABOURN Seabourn has extended its operations pause until 13OCT, 2020.
SCENIC GROUP Scenic has suspended all voyages until 30OCT, 2020.

Further suspensions apply to Egypt, Jordan and Israel land tours until 31DEC, 2020. 
SILVERSEA Silversea is hoping to recommence their itineraries around the world on these dates:
  • Silver Cloud: will set sail on 28OCT, 2020. 
  • Silver Wind: will welcome guests once more from 11NOV, 2020. 
  • Silver Shadow: will commence service once again from 10NOV, 2020. 
  • Silver Spirit: will set sail on 05NOV, 2020. 
  • Silver Muse: Silver Muse will resume sailing from 10OCT, 2020. 
  • Silver Whisper: will commence service once again from 10NOV, 2020. 
  • Silver Explorer: Guests will cruise on Silver Explorer again from 20OCT, 2020. 
  • Silver Moon: will set sail on 08NOV, 2020.
  • Silver Origin: Silver Origin will resume sailing on 05SEP, 2020. 
UNCRUISE UnCruise Adventures will resume its Alaska sailings on 01AUG, 2020, with a Glacier Bay National Park Adventure tour departing from Juneau.
UNIWORLD Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection has suspended its river cruises through 15AUG, 2020.
VICTORY
CRUISE LINE
Victory Cruise Line announced it will cancel all planned itineraries for the remainder of the 2020 season due to prolonged governmental restrictions and uncertainties of future travel through Canadian waters
VIKING OCEAN CRUISES &
VIKING RIVER CRUISES
Viking has extended its pause through 30SEP, 2020.
VIRGIN VOYAGES Virgin Voyages will be cancelling all sailings through 15OCT, 2020. 

WINDSTAR
Small ship cruise operator Windstar has extended its suspension of operations through 30SEP, 2020. 

Windstar Cruises said its 148-passenger Wind Spirit will not resume Tahiti voyages until 15OCT, 2020. 

Return dates for other Windstar vessels are as follows:
  • The 342-passenger Wind Surf will return to service on November 29, 2020 
  • The 148-guest Wind Star will return on January 16, 2021 
  • The 312-passenger Star Breeze is expected to begin sailing October 27, 2020 
  • The 312-passenger Star Legend will begin sailing March 1, 2021
  • The 312-passenger Star Pride will begin sailing July 5, 2021 in Northern Europe.
