Relief Forthcoming For Royal Caribbean's Hold Times

Relief is on the way for travel advisors calling into Royal Caribbean International's call centre, said Vicki Freed, SVP of Sales, during last week's Coffee Talk.
"I want you to know that we're not just talking about it, that we're doing something about this," she said.
"Over the weekend we called back over 100 people that we had to lay off [earlier] to come back and to help us in the call centres. They're in training now because there have been more suspensions since we had the layoffs."
Freed said the returnees should be taking calls this week.
"That should help on the long hold times," she said. "I sincerely apologize to our valued travel partners because this is not the kind of service that we want to provide you. We want to give you excellent service."
