Ponant took delivery of its sixth and final vessel in the Ponant Explorer series, Le Jacques Cartier, on 10JUL.
“The delivery of Le Jacques Cartier is a success. It marks the completion of the Ponant Explorers series, which has revolutionized the concept of ocean voyages. These six vessels, combining cutting-edge technology and respect for the environment, are the symbol of a new generation of ships flying the French flag,” declared Jean Emmanuel Sauvée, CEO of Ponant.
Le Jacques Cartier offers 92 rooms and suites, all with balconies or private terraces. It also features Ponant’s “Blue Eye” concept, an underwater multi-sensory lounge allowing guests to experience the underwater world, gazing through two giant windows resembling the eyes of a whale.
With the delivery of Le Jacques Cartier, the Ponant fleet now numbers 12 ships. The Explorers fleet includes:
Le Lapérouse – delivered JUN 2018
