SkyRide, the cruise industry’s 1st
pedal-powered open-air aerial attraction.

Carnival Cruise Line has announced the details of what it is calling its “most innovative ship ever,” Carnival Vista, debuting in spring 2016. Carnival says the new ship is being designed to connect guests to the ocean with sweeping views and plenty to do both outdoors and in.

Headline highlights include:

  • SkyRide, a suspended open-air cycling experience where riders can climb aboard hanging recumbent-like bikes to cycle their way around an 800 ft. suspended track with panoramic views from 150 ft. above the sea

  • The world’s 1st IMAX® Theatre on a ship, with a screen 3 decks high

  • Next door at the Thrill Theater, moviegoers can enjoy a multi-dimensional special effects experience. Both are part of the Carnival Multiplex complete with concession stand offering popcorn & movie snacks.

  • An expanded water park featuring the colourful Kaleid-O-Slide, the line’s 1st raft-riding water tube slide

  • Seafood Shack, a New England-inspired eatery

  • RedFrog Pub, including the line’s 1st onboard brewery

  • The ship’s 2016 inaugural Mediterranean itineraries will mark the line’s return to Europe after an absence of 3 years

Carnival Vista will offer a wide variety of staterooms and suites including 2 new accommodation classes. Tropics-inspired Havana Cabanas feature accommodations with private outdoor patios – complete with lounge chairs and hammock – that face the expanded Lanai ocean-air outdoor promenade and offer sea views.

Located within a new dedicated family zone on Deck 2, the new Family Harbor accommodations offer deluxe ocean-view, balcony and interior staterooms that accommodate up to 5 family members. The new Family Harbor Lounge will be designed as the ultimate family hangout, with large-screen TVs, games and complimentary breakfast and snacks. A special family concierge desk will be available here to assist families.

Soon to be the largest ship in the fleet at 133,500 tons, Carnival Vista will be 1,055 ft. long and have a guest capacity of 3,936 (based on 2 per cabin).

The new vessel will debut May 1st, 2016, with a 13 day cruise departing from Trieste. After spending its 1st summer in the Med, Vista will cross the Atlantic to operate a series of voyages from NYC.
