From Barbie glamping experiences at the Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe to The Truck Surf "hotel on wheels", themed hotels are a gloriously fun lodging option catering to a traveller's tastes and passions.

But what if your tastes and passions are Taco Bell inspired?

For these culinary aficionados, American fast food chain Taco Bell has answered the call (the bell?) with a new themed hotel "The Bell: a Taco Bell Hotel and Resort" in Palm Springs, California.

The Palm Springs accommodation, opening for a limited time on 9AUG, is an official and ambitious celebration of the Taco Bell brand.

The entire hotel experience, from check-in to check-out, will be "inspired by tacos and fueled by fans. Everything from guest rooms to breakfast and poolside cocktails will be infused with a Taco Bell twist, making this the flavor-filled getaway of 2019.”

There will be also be Taco Bell snacks and cocktails, and, for truly committed, Taco Bell nail art in the salon.

Few details, including exact location and pricing, have been announced about the hotel so far, but USA Today reports that reservations will open in JUN for Taco Bell superfans ages 18 and up.

“The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date. It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect,” says Taco Bell Global Chief Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg in an article by AdWeek. “Also, just like some of our most sought-after food innovation, this hotel brings something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy.”

Social media users were both delighted and full of mockery towards the concept.

"Is this one of the colon-cleaning retreats?" posted one Twitter user, while another said, " Not to be dramatic, but I would literally give up my soul for this."
