Cruise Cancelled? No Problem: Couple Creates Makeshift Cruise At Home
Anna Kroupina, Open Jaw
The global cruise industry all but ground to a halt last week, with the biggest companies suspending operations as they hunker down to wait out the coronavirus pandemic.
That has led to trip cancellations and all-around crestfallen cruisers.
But the dismal environment has done nothing to discourage one Australian couple whose cruise was cancelled. Rather than sulking, they took a 'If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain' approach to their situation by creating a makeshift cruise right inside their home.
Shared on Twitter and Facebook by Jane Trill, the video shows them sitting on a couch in front of a television.
Donning white robes and sunglasses, with their feet resting on the TV cabinet, the couple can be seen clinking wine glasses while watching a clip of the sea on TV. They've even got not one, but two valuable rolls of toilet paper sitting on the TV cabinet.
"Cruise cancelled? No problem," Jane captioned the video.
Since being posted, the video garnered over 26,000 views onFacebookand 7,000 onTwitter.
