Japan Introduces High Level Workations

If the idea of taking your laptop and working from a remote location sounds like the perfect antidote to COVID cabin fever, beach resorts, mountain lodges and downtown hotels all offer workation packages.

But a Japanese theme park has take the concept to a whole new level: Working atop a 60 metre high Ferris wheel. And if your main concern is ensuring you have access to Wi-Fi, it’s been taken care of.

If, on the other hand, it is fear of heights, fear of dropping your computer, fear of what the heck am I doing up here, then Wi-Fi is the least of your worries.

The Yomiurland theme park is counting on the novelty factor to attract would-be workationers. The package includes poolside workstations and a one-hour ticket for the Ferris wheel for that all important Zoom with a view (Toobin, eat your heart out).

After hours, guests can enjoy the park at leisure.
